Victory Over Gold Sox Takes Boston to 16-4
Boston rode a decent outing from starter Jesús Franco to victory over the Chicago Gold Sox at Gold Sox Field. The final score was 5-3. Folkert van Huizen picked up the save for Boston, his 9th of the year. The Gold Sox, now 6-14, continue their poor start.

A crucial at-bat came with the bases loaded and two out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when shortstop Bill Chambers, who is tied for 7th in the PL in bases on balls with 11, drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Patriots went on to win.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Chambers.
