BC Slip Past Ft. Worth, 3-2
|
The Philadelphia 1776 BC faced a tough opponent in Ft. Worth pitcher Nicholas Wells, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ben Franklin Memorial Coliseum by a final score of 3-2. Wells went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Pedro Garza got credit for the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. Philadelphia 1776 now owns a record of 43-45.
The BC got a big at-bat from second baseman António Granados. For the game, Granados went 1-4 with a walk. In the bottom of the 11th, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 16th hit of the season gave Philadelphia 1776 a 3-2 lead.
