Divided Get One-Run Win at Rocky Mountain
|
The D.C. Divided did just enough to secure a 7-6 victory over the Rocky Mountain Nuggets at Nuggets Park. Nobody did more than shortstop Sal Bradshaw, who captured player of the game honors. D.C. goes to 51-36. The win puts them 5 games up in their division.
Arturo Rodríguez went 1-4 for D.C.. The reigning Outstanding Hitter Award winner had a key at-bat in the top of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Rafael Rivera. It was his 49th RBI of the season.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Bradshaw told the D.C. Daily News.
