BC Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Grey Wolves
|
Philadelphia 1776 starter Bill Tugwell pitched effectively against the Vancouver Grey Wolves at Wolf Den in Vancouver. The right-hander led his team to a 3-2 win. Philadelphia 1776 is now 41-41, while Vancouver is 44-38.
The BC got a big at-bat from catcher John Schnatter. For the game, Schnatter was 1 for 4 with a double. In the top of the seventh, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 8th double of the season gave Philadelphia 1776 a 3-2 lead.
Vancouver manager David Krause said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
