Nuggets Fall to .500 After Loss to Northern Lions BC
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Xavier Pérez, the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC defeated the Rocky Mountain Nuggets, 7-1. Pérez was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Northern Lions BC. The save was credited to Stewart Fleming, his 4th. Thunder Bay is now 39-41. Rocky Mountain is 40-40.
Pérez had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the fifth, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Northern Lions BC went on to win.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Pérez said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
