Multi-HR Day for MacNamara as Middies Overpower Divided, 7-3
|
Phil MacNamara made an impact in the 7-3 Grafton win over D.C.. MacNamara, who was drafted in the two round of the 2026 draft, belted 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. Luis Torres got the win, improving to 10-6. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 3 runs on 11 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. With the win, the Middies improved to 41-33.
MacNamara contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Grafton in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, MacNamara took a changeup from Germán Rodríguez and stroked the home run to left. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Middies to leap in front, 3-1.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Grafton manager Bill Cefaratti.
