Rangers Jolt Gold Sox with Late Rally

The Austin Rangers bested the Chicago Gold Sox, 5-4, at Gold Sox Field. Carlos Kramer was named player of the game. He went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Austin reliever Alfonso Zapata picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Rafael García shouldered the loss. Júlio Rodríguez got credit for the save for Austin. It was his 2nd of the year.
Kramer had a game-changing single in the top of the eighth. On a 1-2 fastball from Rafael García, he banged a run-scoring single to center, giving the Rangers a 5-4 lead. It was the 7th hit of the year for Kramer.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Kramer.
The Rangers are off to a tough start, getting just their 4th win in 17 games.
