Nuggets Overcome Gem from Sanders, Pull Out Win
|
Cory Sanders could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Philadelphia 1776 BC lost, dropping a 1-0 decision to the Rocky Mountain Nuggets at Ben Franklin Memorial Coliseum. Jorge Garza earned the save, his 11th. Rocky Mountain is now 28-30.
Sanders pitched a very strong game for the BC, allowing 5 hits in 8.2 innings while striking out 11. It was all for naught, however.
