Middies Come Up Short at Rocky Mountain
Starting pitcher Nathaniel Riley pitched well enough to help the Rocky Mountain Nuggets beat the Grafton Middies by the score of 5-4. Riley went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 3-3. Jorge Garza earned the save for Rocky Mountain, his 10th of the year.

Roberto Salazar had a big run-scoring single for the Nuggets in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Rocky Mountain leading 4-1 and a runner on 3rd, he got a curveball from Robbie Baxter and stroked the single to left. It was his 45th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Nuggets ahead, 5-1.

"I take a professional approach to my job," said Riley. "I've been around this game for a while."
