Cattlemen Come Back Late to Clip BC
|
Philadelphia 1776 pitcher George Frazier gave the Cattlemen all they could handle, but in the end, Ft. Worth left Ben Franklin Memorial Coliseum with a 4-3 win. Frazier allowed 2 earned runs on 6 hits over 7 innings. Asher Spivey finished to wrap up his 15th save. Ft. Worth, at 23-21, occupies 4th place in the Silver League.
Had Robby Day not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Day hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Cattlemen.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Ft. Worth manager Scott Thompson.
