Grey Wolves Lose to Northern Lions BC, 5-3
|
It was a good time at Great Northern Field, where fans came to watch the Vancouver Grey Wolves and Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC get after it.
The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC bested the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 5-3, at Great Northern Field. Denis Higgins was named player of the game. He was 3-3 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Rafael Cardona got credit for the win, improving to 3-3. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits in 6.1 innings. Tyler MacHugh sewed up the save, his 3rd.
Higgins had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a 2-run single. The Northern Lions BC went on to win.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Higgins.
The Northern Lions BC raised their record to 19-21.
