Almost There: Phoenix On Cusp of R2030 Triumph After 3-0 Win
Facing elimination, the Phoenix Hotspur were looking for a savior. For today, at least, Alejandro Guerra delivered.

At Dunkin Donuts Park, the 24-year old pitched a game for the ages to fend off the Boston Patriots and help the Hotspur close their deficit in the Round 2030. Guerra threw a 9-inning, complete-game shutout in the 3-0 Phoenix win, striking out 10 and allowing 2 hits. The Hotspur how trail - in the best-of- series.

Guerra was in the zone all game. He frustrated Boston hitters while giving the Hotspur 9 innings of quality work. Guerra threw 110 pitches, allowing 2 hits and getting 10 punchouts.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Guerra said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

Game 4 is set to be played tomorrow at Dunkin Donuts Park. Slated to start are Jaime van de Weideven for Phoenix and Lúcio Sánchez for Boston.
