Almost There: Vancouver On Cusp of R2030 Triumph After 3-0 Win
When he got to Vancouver, Ray Skipworth was just worrying about staying on the roster. Today, he was starring in the Round 2030.

The 23-year-old rookie right-hander shut out the visiting Grafton Middies 3-0 in a remarkable performance at Wolf Den in Vancouver today. With the win, the Grey Wolves took a - lead in the best-of- Round 2030.

Skipworth was in the zone all game. He frustrated Grafton hitters while giving the Grey Wolves 8.1 innings of quality work. Skipworth threw 103 pitches, allowing 6 hits and getting 9 punchouts.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Skipworth said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
