The Vancouver Grey Wolves are one game away from a sweep of the Grafton Middies today after a 6-4 road win at Field of the Middies. Grey Wolves left-hander Gerardo Pagán was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 6 innings allowing 3 runs. Vancouver now holds a - advantage in the best-of- Round 2030.
Had Hank Scorpio not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Scorpio hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Grey Wolves.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Pagán told the Vancouver Daily.
