|
Game was big. So was José García.
The Boston starter rose to the occasion at Washington Stadium today, earning player of the game honors after leading the Patriots to a crucial 4-1 victory over the D.C. Divided. García threw 8 innings of 2-hit ball as the Patriots won on the road to seize a - lead in the best-of- Round 2030.
The Divided had trouble solving García, who surrendered 1 earned run on 2 hits over 8 innings.
"Feels good to get the job done," García said after the game.
The next game is scheduled for Friday at Dunkin Donuts Park in Boston. Slated to start are Germán Rodríguez for D.C. and Lúcio Sánchez for Boston.
