D.C. Wins Game in Extras; On Verge of R2031
The D.C. Divided went into extra innings against the Boston Patriots but ultimately moved to within one game of the Round 2031 today. The Divided downed the Patriots at Dunkin Donuts Park by a score of 4-3. D.C. right-hander Germán Rodríguez was named player of the game after a solid outing in which he threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball. The win gives the Divided a - advantage in the best-of- Round 2030.

Wilfred McLaughlin made it 4-3 in favor of D.C. when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with one out in the top of the 12th. The Divided went on to win.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Rodríguez.

Game 2 is set to be played tomorrow at Dunkin Donuts Park in Boston. The scheduled starters for the game are Bill Oulton for D.C. and John Kaufman for Boston.
