Multi-HR Day for Marmelo as Grey Wolves Overpower Middies, 8-2
|
The Vancouver Grey Wolves topped the Grafton Middies by the score of 8-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to left fielder Aquiles Marmelo. Marmelo was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Grey Wolves on the day. With the victory, the Grey Wolves record now stands at 15-15.
Marmelo came through with some timely hitting for Vancouver. With the score 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth and two down, Marmelo hit a 1-1 sinker for a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season made it 4-0, Vancouver.
"We were firing on all cylinders today," said Grey Wolves manager David Krause.
