Almost There: Boston On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 4-3 Win
The Boston Patriots moved to within one game of the President's Shield today, downing the visiting Las Vegas Flamingos at Dunkin Donuts Park by a score of 4-3. Patriots right fielder Karl Schultz was named player of the game after he was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The win gives the Patriots a - advantage in the best-of- Play-In.

The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth when Schultz hit a run-scoring double. It propelled the Patriots into the lead, 4-3.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Schultz said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
