The New Amsterdam starter rose to the occasion at Houston Grounds today, earning player of the game honors after leading the Dutchmen to a crucial 4-3 victory over the Houston 1837 BBC. Fabián threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball as the Dutchmen won on the road to seize a - lead in the best-of- Third League Championship.

New Amsterdam took the lead in the top of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Mario Rivera stroked a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Dutchmen.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Fabián.
