Yohemas, Grafton Open R1 Strong with 3-1 Win
|
The Grafton Middies moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the visiting Ft. Worth Cattlemen at Field of the Middies by a score of 3-1. Middies left-hander Allen Yohemas was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 7 innings of shutout ball. The win gives the Middies a - advantage in the best-of- Silver League Championship.
Stefano Gaddi helped out the Grafton cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the third baseman went 1-4. He drove in 2 runs.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Gaddi told the Grafton Herald.
