Roldán, Wizarding Start Play-In Strong with Home Win
|
The Wizarding Express are one game away from a sweep after a 5-2 win over the visiting Detroit Renaissance at Platform 9 3/4 today. Express left-hander Javier Roldán was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball. Wizarding now holds a - advantage in the best-of- Play-In.
Had Salvador Trevino not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases empty, Trevino hit a solo home run. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Express.
"I thought we played a nice game," Roldán told the Wizarding Chronicle. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
