Thunder Bay No Match for Beliago

In an outstanding mound performance, Greenville 84s starter Hermenegildo Beliago fired a complete-game shutout against the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC at Great Northern Field today.
Beliago was the key to the 84s's 3-0 win. The 26-year-old left-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 3 hits and 1 walk he allowed.
"3 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout."
So far this year Beliago has made 5 starts, tossed 32.2 innings, struck out 17 batters and walked 8. His record is 2-2 with a 1.38 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .207 batting average.
