The Ft. Worth Cattlemen took Grafton pitcher Daniel Martínez's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Cattle Pen. The final score had Ft. Worth getting past the Middies, 4-3. Martínez went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs, striking out 6. Ft. Worth has a record of 7-9.

Ft. Worth took a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Rick Mayfield hit a clutch 2-run home run to bring Cattlemen fans to their feet.

After the game, Ft. Worth manager Scott Thompson applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
