Breitling 3-3 in Express Win
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from David Breitling, the Wizarding Express defeated the Boston Patriots, 9-2. Breitling was 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times for the Express. Kenny Koehler got the win, improving to 7-8. He worked 5.2 innings, giving up 2 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. Ming-jiang Wu, credited with the save, is now 4 for 5 in save opportunities.
Frank Grimes helped out the Wizarding cause in the top of the third inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the second baseman was 1-3 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 runs.
"The name of the game is scoring runs," Grimes said. "We did a pretty good job of that today."
Wizarding is now 42-57, while Boston is 55-44.
