Patriots Win at Brooklyn, 7-2
|
Boston left-hander Jesús Franco made an effective start against the Brooklyn Dodgers at Ebbetts Field, leading his team to a 7-2 win. Boston occupies second place in the Premier League at 51-40.
Boston took a 3-2 lead on Tamasaburo Kato's 91st hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Kato hit in the top of the seventh, left Brooklyn pitcher Addie Samson visibly frustrated.
"I thought we played a nice game," Franco told the Boston Today. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
