Hotspur Go Down to Defeat, 4-1
|
The Wizarding Express went home winners at Platform 9 3/4, thanks in large part to starter Ralph McKinney. McKinney silenced the Phoenix Hotspur, enabling Wizarding to grab the 4-1 win. McKinney picked up the win for Wizarding, going 6.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 6-5. Wizarding is now 36-54, Phoenix 56-34.
Early in the game, center fielder Ralph Cranford had a 2-run home run for Wizarding. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Express on top, 2-0.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Cranford.
