Hotspur Lose to Dodgers, 4-1
|
Eddie Kop never let the Hotspur get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his forkball, to pitch the Dodgers to a 4-1 win. The Hotspur, at 42-26, have lost 5 in a row.
Ulbert Sutkamp aided the Brooklyn cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the third baseman went 1-4 with a home run.
"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Kop told the Brooklyn Herald.
