The Kingston Township Legion did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the New Amsterdam Dutchmen at Cloverdale Legion Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Jon Briddon, who captured player of the game honors. At 28-40, Kingston Township is in 10th place in the Third League.
Dani Trejo, who is rated as the 82nd best prospect by BNN, helped out the Kingston Township cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the right fielder was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Briddon told the Kingston Township Chronicle.
