Hot Start Continues for Rainbow Mermaids
|
A nice crowd turned out to see the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids and Boston Patriots clash at Dunkin Donuts Park.
Northern Virginia starter Mimosa Joseph put a stranglehold on the Boston offense. The right-hander had complete command of his slider in leading the Rainbow Mermaids to a 6-1 win. Northern Virginia goes to 5-2 with the win.
Chia-ch'ing Dodman aided the Northern Virginia cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth. For the game, the designated hitter went 1-4 with a walk. He drove in 3 runs.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Joseph.
