Benefiting from an exceptional performance from José Paz, the Capital District Red Knights defeated the Houston 1837 BBC, 5-2. Paz went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Red Knights. Bob Roth closed the game out for Capital District, earning his 4th save. Houston has now lost 5 in a row.
Alfonso Enríquez drove in 2 runs for Capital District. The 29-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Roy Alsobrook. It was his 15th RBI of the season.
