Austin pitcher Kyle Boddy did his part in helping his team beat the Richardson City Thundercats, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Austin reliever Gavin Blackburn got the win, raising his record to 3-0. José Montalópez was tagged with the loss. The slumping Thundercats have lost 6 straight.

Yoshihito Samurakami was the walk-off hero for Austin. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rangers catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
