Kato Rips Northern Virginia for 5 Hits
Tamasaburo Kato put on a hitting clinic today as the Boston Patriots dumped the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids 13-7 at Atlantica.

The Boston second baseman made Northern Virginia defenders earn their pay, lashing Northern Virginia pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Kato said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Tamasaburo Kato singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, walked in the 8th and doubled in the 9th.

Kato is hitting .268 this year with 6 home runs and 27 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .352, 31 walks and scored 33 times.
