Dodgers Lose to Hotspur, 3-1
|
Phoenix Hotspur starter Alejandro Guerra turned in a top-notch performance against the Brooklyn Dodgers at Ebbetts Field. The result was a win for the Hotspur, 3-1. In 8 innings, Guerra surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run. Alexander Weareorwear earned the save for Phoenix, his 13th of the year.
One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the seventh inning. Facing Brooklyn hurler Brandeis Vogt, Hieronymus Bosch, who is the 10th-best prospect in the Hotspur organization, hit a single. The Hotspur went on to win.
"It feels good to get that win," said Guerra. "Now it's on to the next one."
The Hotspur own a robust 36-18 mark.
