Richardson City beat Wizarding at Platform 9 3/4, eking out a 3-2 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Juan Valéncia, who earned player of the game honors. Valéncia went 8.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 7-3. Héctor Alarcon finished the game for Richardson City and earned his 3rd save.
Richardson City left fielder Pedro Castillo changed the complexion of the game in the top of the seventh inning. That's when he belted a 2-run home run off Dan Mitchell. His 7th home run of the season put Richardson City in front, 3-2.
"We've got a great group of guys," Castillo said, "and we're having fun right now."
Richardson City is now 32-19.
