Rainbow Mermaids Come Up Short at Chicago
|
Northern Virginia shortstop Eustacio Tafalla had a good game, even if his team did not. The Rainbow Mermaids dropped a 4-3 decision to Chicago at Gold Sox Field. Tafalla went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Tom McKee, credited with the win, is now 2-4. He allowed 3 runs on 3 hits in 5.2 innings. After today's action, Chicago sits at 20-30, while Northern Virginia falls to 26-24.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, shortstop Matt Love came through big-time for the Gold Sox. With Chicago leading 2-0, he belted a 2-run home run.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Love said.
