Patriots Turn Back Panama City, 5-3
|
Boston pitcher Jesús Franco did his part in helping his team beat the Panama City Piranhas, 5-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Doug Carlton was credited with the save for Boston, his 1st of the season. The Patriots have an impressive 29-17 record.
Doug Carlton recorded a big out in the top of the ninth. Panama City was trailing 5-3. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Carlton retired Sergio Muñóz when Muñóz struck out.
