Thundercats Lose to Dodgers, 5-3
|
Brooklyn right fielder Oliver Aranda was instrumental in his team's 5-3 win over the Richardson City Thundercats. Aranda went 2-4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Dodgers. The Dodgers raised their record to 14-19.
Aranda contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Brooklyn in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 3-1, Aranda took a curveball from Kirby Brown and stroked the home run to right. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Dodgers to leap in front, 4-3.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Aranda told a Brooklyn Herald reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
