Express Suffer 3-1 Loss to Gold Sox
|
Chicago used a superb performance from starting pitcher Shuntavyious Primes-Willes to down the Wizarding Express, 3-1. Primes-Willes, now 2-5, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing no earned runs. Chicago is now 11-20, while Wizarding is 10-21.
Early in the game, designated hitter Melvin Castro had a 3-run home run for Chicago. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Gold Sox on top, 3-0.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Gold Sox manager Brett Reichert. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
