Win Streak Now at 6 for Evergreens

Ryan Peterson was superb against Houston. The right-hander, the six overall pick in the 2025 draft, had a change up that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a 5-1 Evergreens victory. Portland, now 6-0, has gotten their season off to a good start.
Chris Payling put Portland in front, 2-0, when he hit a solo home run off Gary Bailey in the top of the third. It was his 2nd home run of the season.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Portland skipper Imran Baig.
