Middies Use Late-Game Magic to Beat 84s
The Grafton Middies grabbed a 7-5 win over the Greenville 84s at 84s Field. Grafton left fielder Phil MacNamara was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk to earn player of the game honors. Kenete Daku converted his 6th save in 6 tries. Grafton, at 56-50, sits in third place in the Silver League.

MacNamara had a game-changing double in the top of the ninth. On a 0-1 splitter from Quintiliano Seixal, he banged a run-scoring double to right, giving the Middies a 6-5 lead. It was the 16th double of the year for MacNamara.

"It feels good to get that win," said MacNamara. "Now it's on to the next one."
