Ft. Worth Cattlemen starter Dave Reed had all his pitches working at Field of the Middies. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-1 Ft. Worth win over the Grafton Middies. Ft. Worth is now 53-52, Grafton 55-50.

The Cattlemen got a big at-bat from third baseman Jesús Martínez. For the game, Martínez was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs. In the top of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Ft. Worth a 2-1 lead.
