|
Carlos Rodríguez left his imprint on the 6-5 Thunder Bay win against the Rocky Mountain Nuggets. Rodríguez, who is tied for 7th in the SL in doubles with 22, went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Júlio Palma got the save, his 1st in 2 chances. The Northern Lions BC raised their record to 49-55.
It could have been a different outcome for Thunder Bay, had it not been for António Mendoza, the 24-year old designated hitter . Mendoza contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth inning to put Thunder Bay up, 5-4.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Mendoza told the Thunder Bay Daily News.
