Express Pin 4-1 Loss on Hotspur
|
Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the Phoenix Hotspur were eager to watch Wes Hamm square off against Ralph McKinney of the visiting Wizarding Express. In the end, the Express won the game, 4-1, with Ralph McKinney earning player of the game honors. Picking up the save was Dorian Daly, his 1st.
It could have been a different outcome for Wizarding, had it not been for António Martínez, the 27-year old third baseman . Martínez contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Wizarding up, 2-1.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Wizarding manager Dan Cahill.
