Conditions were not ideal but Glendale and Ottawa were able to put their game in the books.
Glendale Herons starter José Guillén was in fine form against the Ottawa Nationals at Nationals Park, leading his team to a 4-2 win. The winning pitcher was Guillén, now 9-5. He tossed 6.2 innings of 1-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 3. Nick Riviera finished the game for Glendale and earned his 18th save.
Glendale took the lead in the top of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 1st, Glyn Bolasky stroked a 2-run home run to make it 3-1, Herons.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Bolasky.
The Herons raised their record to 50-50.
