Fans who gathered at Nationals Park saw a good contest between the Casper Ghosts and Ottawa Nationals.

Elgie never let Ottawa get something going. The Casper right-hander commanded his change up in pitching the Ghosts to a win. Elgie, now 5-4, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing no earned runs. Júlio Vázquez got credit for the save for Casper. It was his 3rd of the year.

Casper catcher Henry Appleby helped the Ghosts go up, 2-0, in the top of the second inning. With the game tied, Appleby hit a 2-run home run off Ottawa pitcher Júlio Garrido.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Elgie told the Casper Daily News.

Casper, at 38-39, occupies 6th place in the Menard's AA.
