Thunder Hawks Get 8-7 Win Versus Virginia Beach
It was a fun time at Thunder Hawks Ballpark, where the Virginia Beach Deuces and Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks tangled.

The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks overcame a good performance by Virginia Beach first baseman David Abreu to knock off Virginia Beach, 8-7, at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. Abreu went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs. Earning his 7th save of the year was Joey Hamman.

Lowell Mullins broke a 7-7 tie in the bottom of the sixth with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Thunder Hawks in front, 8-7. For the game, Mullins was 1-2 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 runs.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Howard Martínez.

The Thunder Hawks, at 36-39, sit in 8th place in the Menard's AA.
