With center fielder Glyn Bolasky leading the charge, the Glendale Herons defeated the Myrtle Beach Mermen, 6-4, at Tennille Grounds. Bolasky, who is rated as the 16th best prospect by BNN, went 2-5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Getting the save was Nick Riviera, his 10th. The 9th-place Herons raised their record to 35-40.

When the Herons needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Bolasky who delivered. Facing Myrtle Beach pitcher Manuel Carrión the top of the second with the bases loaded, Bolasky hit his 5th home run of the year. It made the score 5-0.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Bolasky told the Glendale Herald. "It's as simple as that."
