Herons Turn Back Casper, 3-2

Glendale Herons starter David Davis turned in an exceptional performance against the Casper Ghosts at The Graveyard, resulting in a Glendale win, 3-2. The winning pitcher was Davis, now 3-5. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. Nick Riviera was called on to finish, recording his 4th save.
Glendale took a 3-0 lead on James Pike's 8th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Pike hit in the top of the seventh, left Casper pitcher Earl Simmons shaking his head.
"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Pike.
Glendale occupies 10th place in the Menard's AA at 24-35.
