4-2 Rails Win over Nationals Evens Season Record
|
The Richland Rails picked up a win at Rails Ballpark, knocking off the Ottawa Nationals, 4-2. Starting pitcher Gary Kellenberger, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Bart Gresham closed it out for his 1st save. The Rails raised their record to 28-28.
Valentín Salas's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth was significant for the Rails. Coming to the plate with runners on 1st and 2nd and Richland leading 2-1, the left fielder hit a 2-run double.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Kellenberger said.
