Ghosts Fall to .500 After Loss to Rails

Richland and Casper duked it out at The Graveyard and the Rails came out victorious.
Manuel never let Casper get something going. The Richland right-hander commanded his curveball in pitching the Rails to a win. In 5.1 innings, Manuel surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 0. He allowed no runs. Russ Melton, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 9th save.
Christian Gentry helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring single to give Richland a 1-0 lead.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Karim Moulin. "That was the problem."
This win makes it 2 in a row for Richland.
